The Office of Diversity and Inclusion celebrates collective impact across campus and invites faculty, staff, and graduate students who champion Inclusive Excellence to an afternoon of connection, care, and development each year for the Collective Impact Conference. This collaborative event, organized by faculty and staff members at the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), is designed to connect Inclusive Excellence champions with one another, celebrate and acknowledge the breadth of work happening across campus, and engage in well-being and professional development sessions that support individual and collective success. Additionally, we're planning for additional programming through out the 2024-2025 year through our Collective Impact Minigrant initiative.
An Afternoon of Collective Impact included an interactive plenary session, six concurrent breakout sessions, and an informal networking reception. This event welcomed 1) those with Inclusive Excellence leadership responsibilities in their respective units, 2) those employed in centers on campus that elevate the needs, knowledge, strengths, and norms of underrepresented groups, 3) those who voluntarily serve in programs, initiatives, or committees that elevate the needs, knowledge, strengths, and norms of those in underrepresented groups; and 4) those who have academic and/or practice expertise in the area of DEI.
All faculty, staff, and graduate students who identify with one of these areas are welcome to attend this event.
