Committee for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Concerns
What We Do• Collaborate with administration, academic departments, and Student Affairs to establish policies, programs and services that meet the needs of LGBTQA+ members of the university community.
• Advocate for equitable university policies that have included employee + 1 (domestic partner benefits) and the integration of LGBTQA+ topics into the curriculum; use of chosen names; use of appropriate pronouns; and use of optional identity demographic questions.
• Serve as a source of support, networking and resources for LGBTQA and Allied faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the LGBTQA+ Resource Center.
• We meet monthly in the LGBTQA+ Resource Center (346 Nebraska Union) and annually with the chancellor.

- Our fundraising efforts go toward LGBTQA+ events on and off campus, student travel to conferences geared toward leadership and promoting inclusive campus environments, and a student emergency fund in the event that an LGBTQA+ individual is faced with emergency financial hardship (e.g. being cut off from family, medical emergency, etc.)
