Instructor Resources
Husker Dialogues is where first-year students learn to have brave conversations about building community, embracing difference, and becoming engaged on campus — all while being introduced to fellow Huskers from all different backgrounds. Everyone on campus is encouraged to attend, volunteer and support. Instructors are encouraged to share and communicate opportunities to get involved with Husker Dialogues to students.
All first-year Huskers are expected to attend.
Recommendation for communicating to the first-year students in your classes:
- Use the resources below to encourage your students to participate. Examples include using email, canvas and your course syllabus.
- Consider incorporating Husker Dialogues attendance in your syllabus as an extra credit or regular assignment.
- If you have returning students in your classes, encourage them to sign up to be a conversation guide at the event. Faculty, staff and returning students are encouraged to sign up!
